Welcome to our Story. We’re excited to share our journey with you as we prepare for our special day on January 25th 2025.

Our story began in December 2019 when we met in Adelaide. Erika moved to Australia in March 2019, to learn English and embrace the multicultural environment. After connecting with Cal, their bond deepened through shared experiences, family dinners, and a mutual love for adventure.

When the pandemic hit, we faced significant challenges, with the borders closing and the shutdown of the hospitality industry in which Erika works. This caused a lot of angst for the future. During this time, Cal welcomed her into his home, providing a loving environment that helped her feel at ease. Erika’s parents were grateful for Cal’s support, recognizing the strength of their bond.

In December 2023, we traveled to Colombia, where Cal proposed on Christmas Eve, making it a magical moment we will always cherish. We feel incredibly fortunate to have Erika’s parents join us here from the end of November 2024, sharing in our joy as we prepare for our wedding.

Today, we share a life filled with love and unforgettable experiences. Our routines may differ but we always find time for each other. We enjoy cooking together, exploring new places, spending time with our beautiful puppy Miel, and Sunday night dinners at Cal’s parents house.

Throughout our journey, we faced both joyous and heartbreaking moments. These experiences taught us resilience and deepened our understanding of each other.

Communication has become one of our greatest strengths, helping us navigate the challenges of language barriers and cultural differences. We believe that open dialogue is essential for a strong relationship, and we cherish the growth it brings.
